 | Tim Brattan | |
| Tim has practiced a fluid, energized style of vinyasa yoga since 1997. For 10 years he was the director of One Yoga in the Santa Cruz Vets Hall and completed a vinyasa yoga teacher training there in 2006. He had the great privilege of learning from the center’s amazing teachers including Phil Lynch, Shari Young and Mark Stephens, and many visiting yoga luminaries, to whom he is eternally grateful. Tim enjoys special inspiration from Rusty Wells, Janet Stone and Scott Blossom.
In yoga we use the body and breath for self-discovery, to venture beyond our limits and to let go of what no longer serves us - emotionally, mentally and physically. Tim finds the best way to connect to the flow is to be totally present on the mat, so his classes are designed to be unique, challenging and a bit unpredictable. He loves to play good music, make you laugh and have fun. And most of all to be open to receiving all of the benefits available to us from the practice. Because in the flow there is always something beautiful waiting to happen.
After the closure of the Veterans Memorial Building, Tim leads vinyasa flow classes in Santa Cruz at Santa Cruz Yoga (Mon-Wed-Fri 9am and Fri 5:30pm), 24-hour Fitness (Mon-Wed 7:30pm), and Toadal Fitness Westside (Mon-Wed 7:30am), and in Los Gatos at Yoga Center of Los Gatos (Thur 4:30pm and 6pm), and starting September 2 in San Jose at Downtown Yoga Shala (Thur 10am and 12pm). |

 | Debbie Quick | |
| Debbie is a nationally certified Master Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist with a keen eye for alignment and technique developed over 15 years of one on one and group instruction. She brings a depth of knowledge, a lifetime of experience and a passionate love for movement to the classroom. Her teaching style has been greatly influenced by the Ashtanga Primary Series of Pattabhi Jois, Kofi Busia, Rolf Gates and her mentor, Mark Stephens. Her most inspirational teachers, however, have been her students.
Debbie views yoga as a physical, spiritual and energetic journey that inspires greater understanding of, and connection with the inner Self. Yoga has been a powerful catalyst for growth and change in her life, and she is honored to share that passion with her students. With this philosophy, her students can expect a nurturing, supportive and safe environment in which participants are encouraged to find and "play" their edge, but in a non-harmful, non-competitive way. Debbie’s steady pace, thoughtful sequencing and attention to detail encourage students to move slowly, deeply and mindfully. Students leave class feeling grounded, clear and content, the body/mind/spirit restored.
"If we are peaceful, if we are happy, if we can smile and blossom like a flower, then everyone in our family, in our entire society, will benefit from our peace." - Thich Nhat Hanh.
Debbie now teaches yoga classes at Santa Cruz Yoga (Mon-Wed 5:30pm).
